Jack Ingram Audi Reviews 2019 Audi A3 Sedan

The A3 is a compact luxury sports sedan manufactured by Audi. Though it is of compact size, the Audi A3 is no shrinking violet. What it lacks in size the A3 gains in design, performance and technology.

The 2019 Audi A3 features an aggressive, sporty design with athletic angles and sleek lines. The signature Singleframe grille is front and center for instant recognition. Available full LED headlights add both style and practicality while providing increased visibility. A standard sunroof provides a panoramic view of the sky above while providing natural light to the entire cabin. When the sunlight is overpowering, there is a manual sunshade that can be closed if necessary. Intuitive design is a predominant theme with the interior of the A3. Interior design features include an available customizable virtual cockpit, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and split folding rear seatbacks. The A3 is equipped with standard leather seats for luxurious comfort. An additional comfort feature is a 12-way power driver seat with a four-way power lumbar adjustment.

The 2019 A3 features a 2.0 liter turbocharged TFSI engine. Providing 184 horsepower and 222 foot-pounds of torque, this engine allows the A3 to move from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.6 seconds. Upgrading to the available quattro all-wheel drive model makes acceleration even faster. By utilizing 228 horsepower and 258 foot-pounds of torque, the quattro model moves from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds. In addition, quattro all-wheel drive technology is designed to distribute power using a variable torque split. The distribution of power helps to enhance traction and performance based on road conditions. A MacPherson strut front suspension combined with a four-link suspension at the back provide for an outstanding driving experience. Regardless of the destination, the Audi A3 provides a smooth, fuel efficient ride.

A fully digital 12.3-inch instrument display is the home of the available Audi virtual cockpit. The virtual cockpit allows drivers to customize information and access features like Google Earth. Classic and infotainment modes make the system more efficient to use. Available MMI touch features handwriting recognition technology to let drivers "write" their entries instead of typing them. Maps are navigated with a simple movement on a touchpad with MMI touch technology.
